Dr. Lisa Kentfield

Dr. Kentfield has been an associate veterinarian at Buena Vet since August of 2014. Originally from Orange County, Dr. Lisa Kentfield transplanted to Northern California to earn her B.S. Cum Laude in Cellular and Molecular Biology with minors in French and Chemistry from Humboldt State University. She went on to complete a Master’s degree at UC Davis in Animal Biology. She briefly taught community college and also worked a few years as a veterinary technician before attending UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.

Following Veterinary School, she completed a rotating internship at the emergency and specialty clinic, Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group. She now lives in Ventura with her fiancee Nathan and her cat, Aja. Her professional interests include internal medicine, dermatology and working with staff to make Buena Vet a more Fear Free environment. She was one of the first veterinarians in California to become Fear Free Certified in 2016. She enjoys all things outdoors-especially hiking, rock climbing and bird watching. Other free-time activities include home-brewing beer, traveling, playing soccer and watching hockey.
